Warriors Close Homestand with Win Over Thunder

by January 19, 2017 NBA, News, Warriors

OAKLAND – Kevin Durant cemented his place in the MVP conversation and the Warriors community with his first 40 point game as the Warriors blew out the Oklahoma City Thunder 121-100.

You wouldn’t think it would be this way as the Thunder drew even at 56 as the first half expired thanks to a flagrant foul on Zaza Pachulia.

But the Warriors blitzed the Thunder with a 37-point third quarter en route to the home win and a perfect closeout to their homestand.

The Dubs now hit the road for the next four games beginning with a Friday night tilt at the Toyota Center in a matchup of the top two scoring teams in the NBA.

Tim Roye will have the radio call on 95.7 The Game and Bob Fitzgerald and Jim Barnett have the local TV call on CSN Bay Area at 5pm PST/7pm CST.
